I&#8217;m OK with this! Here&#8217;s what&#8217;s changed in the world of Shadow this time:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mop.wowhead.com\/spell=2944\" target=\"_new\">Devouring Plague<\/a><\/strong> has its damage increased by 10%. To put this in perspective, this is equivalent to having its damage <em>reduced by 7.5%<\/em> if the nerfs in <a href=\"http:\/\/warcraft.twintop-tahoe.com\/?p=234\" title=\"Quick Thoughts \u2013 MoP Patch 15972 Changes\">Build 15972<\/a> never occurred.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mop.wowhead.com\/spell=15407\" target=\"_new\">Mind Flay<\/a><\/strong> had its damage increased by 8.2%. This is equivalent to having its damage <em>reduced by 8%<\/em> if the nerfs in <a href=\"http:\/\/warcraft.twintop-tahoe.com\/?p=234\" title=\"Quick Thoughts \u2013 MoP Patch 15972 Changes\">Build 15972<\/a> never occurred.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mop.wowhead.com\/spell=8092\" target=\"_new\">Mind Blast<\/a><\/strong> had its damage increased by 10%. Keeping with the theme, this is the same as having its damage <em>increased by 16.875%<\/em> if the nerfs in <a href=\"http:\/\/warcraft.twintop-tahoe.com\/?p=234\" title=\"Quick Thoughts \u2013 MoP Patch 15972 Changes\">Build 15972<\/a> never occurred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These look like good buffs, and indeed they are a step in the right direction, but if you dig a little deeper you&#8217;ll find that Shadow is <del datetime=\"2012-08-19T20:00:40+00:00\">still worse off now than we were on Monday<\/del> <b>EDIT: we&#8217;re better off now overall from a DPS PoV than on Monday<\/b>, even if <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mop.wowhead.com\/spell=8092\" target=\"_new\">Mind Blast<\/a><\/strong> has gotten a significant buff.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll spare the rough napkin math for now and do a full suite a simulations as soon as possible (hopefully tonight if SimulationCraft data gets updated!).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three patches in 4 days!
